headlights

As I regained conciseness I remember asking Jaci if she had seen what it was that ran me over. She said that all she had seen were a pair of headlights coming towards me, and then she went and hid behind the dumpster. I got mad at whoever was in the car for trying to run me over. Jaci however said that I should blame my stubborn self for not moving out of the way. So Jaci and I went and sat in the vestibule and waited for our parents to come.

As we were sitting there waiting we see this bright bright light coming towards us, as we were looking towards the light to figure out what it was it seemed to us like whatever it was coming towards us was coming faster and faster. Being in the middle of no where... was just great. Nothing was around that we could run to for help! not even a sound. we take off running and the lights that were so bright turned off and they were no where to be found.
We stop! look around and BAM!! They came after us again. We tried calling mom and dad but our cell phones wouldn't pick up any service us girls had no cluse what to do. So we climbed a tree sat there for awhile mom and dad still have not arrived. Shelby say's " come on we will just have to walk on home and hope that we get there safe". So Jaci gets down, all you can hear is the midnight sounds of wildlife. Shelby ? said Jaci did you hear that? yes it sounds like its coming from behind what could it be i wonder? said Shelby...

So Jaci and Shelby turned around to see once again, the mysterious headlights that had been stalking the two. They took off in a dead sprint to the only place they knew they would be somewhat safe. They ran threw alleys and cut blocks, trying to loose the person in the car, but almost nothing they did worked. Finally, they made it to Shelby's house. Once they got inside, they shut the door, locked it, and waited for what would come next. They heard some one knocking on the door. Now the person was getting out of his car!! They freaked out, knowing that whoever it was, now knew where they lived. Shelby had Jaci lift her up so that she could see threw the window of the door and figure out who this mystery man was. Much to her surprise, it was her little brother Colton! Jaci and Shelby had left him at the house, and he was extremely mad about it, so he followed them in the car. All he wanted to do was talk to them but they started running, so of course, he chased them. Shelby and Jaci felt like idiots for being so scared of nothing!

Shelby McBadfur

It was a normal, every day Friday when I woke up and started getting ready for school. I lazily got out of bed and headed towards to bathroom for my shower. As I was about to get in, I heard a shriek coming from downstairs. It was the annoying, aggravating voice of my Mom, telling me that I had woke up late and that I didn't have enough time to shower. Which was fine with me, being that I am a cat, and cat's hate water. :) So I sat at my scratch stool and sharpened my claws as my mom fixed me a warm bowl of catnip. After I gobbled it down, I headed out the door to the kitten corral where I went to obedience school. When I got there, everyone was just staring at me, giving me weird looks and laughing at something about my appearance. They had never done this before, so I started thinking back to the beginning of the morning. Was there something I forgot to do? Then it dawned on me, when I didn't take my shower, I didn't look in a mirror either. So I ran to the nearest bathroom and looked in the mirror and found my fur was sticking up 5 feet in the air!! I will NEVER leave the house with out looking in a mirror again!

Future Letter

Dear me, am I in a mad mood yet? Because being that it has been 13 years now, I hope that I have some kids. Kids tend to get on my nerves sometimes, so I'm probably pretty ticked off at something they did right now. Is my husband hot?? I really hope so, surely I didn't get desperate and marry someone just because time was running out. What is my career? I have no idea what I want to do as of right now, so I'm REALLY hoping that I figured it out by now. How big is my family? I was hoping for about 4 kids. Where do I live? I'm assuming not in Childress. How is my nephew Brayden doing? He should be about 13 now. How many more brothers and sisters does he have by now? Well, surely all of my answers will be the good, right answers I'm wishing for. Until then, have fun with my life!

Coach Rhodes

One time after a football game, when I was a freshman, Coach Rhodes came up to me and started talking to me. Being that I barely knew him, and we hadn't ever really had a conversation, I was a little confused on why he was all the sudden talking to me. So after about 10 minutes of talking, he just stopped, looked at me and said, "You isn't Emily is you?". I laughed and said no sir, and he smiled and walked off. I had an older sister who went to school and ran track for him back in high school, they were pretty close, and he apparently thought that I was Emily, in his defense, we do look A LOT alike! :)

Hosuton

This weekend my family and I went to Houston to visit my sister and her husband and son. We stayed busy the whole time, and had tons of fun, which could be the reason why the weekend flew by so fast! We also watched paranormal activity and it was the scariest movie I have ever seen. I don't care who believes me or not, but I swear ghosts are real!! If you have been threw any kind of paranormal activity, this movies will FREAK you out!

My Tale

There once was an old, repulsive man who lived in a dark, musty cave all alone. His skin was the color of dirt, almost as if he had 3 layers of dirt rubbed on him. His teeth were a dull yellow, a few missing here and there, that gave him a devilish grin. You could smell his distinctive scent from far away, letting you know he was near. No one ever visited him, no ever cared. He just simply set alone, and slowly rotted away in life's many years.
A young lady who had heard about this monstrous man decided to pay him a visit, but she knew that she could not stand the stench of his cave and his rotting skin. So she payed a visit to a sorcerer she knew and told her that she intended to help this poor forgotten man. The sorcerer gave the lady a potion, telling her to have him drink it, and he would be released from his awful bounds. So the lady took it and headed into the dark, cold forest in search of his cave.
Once she found the cave, she threw her cloak over her nose and tried to bare the smell as their body's came closer. She realized that the man probably hadn't eaten or had a drink in days, so she set the cup of potion down. He wearily walked to it and then snatched it up, gulping it greedily. As he began to feel the potion's warm, rich ingredients trizzel down his throat, he noticed a change in his body. His body straightened up, his teeth brightly shined, he hair was smooth and silky, his skin became soft to the touch, and he smelled of the finest perfumes. The man was finally free from his burden! All thanks to the nice lady.

swine flu

H1N1 flu, or better known as Swine Flu, has spread dramatically over the country. Originally, the flu was found in pigs, hence the name "Swine Flu". People have been taking many precautions to avoid becoming infected with the flu. Washing hands, using germ-x, and dis-infecting everything are the number one steps to avoiding the flu. However, you CAN still eat pork, the flu is not carried in the meat.
The symptoms for the Swim Flu include those much like your regular seasonal flu. High fever, vomiting, head-aches, soar throat, cough and muscle aches are the most common symptoms. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should see your doctor immediatley to lessen your chances of it getting worse, and spreading the flu.
If you follow safety steps such as washing your hands, and keeping your hands away from your mouth and nose, your chances of becoming infected are less likely.

Grendel

The Wrath of Grendel
Long ago there was a giant, disgusting monster named Grendel who was mad because while he was on the internet on his ipod and noticed the whole Danish Kingdom was twittering mean things about him. So he went to the Danish Hall and killed many people, and continued to do so for 12 years.

The Coming of Beowulf
Beowulf, a fierce soldier, was checking his twitter on his iphone one day and read about this Grendel and his outrage. So he decided to go and get rid of this beast for the Danish Kingdom.
Higlac, Beowulf's uncle, knew that Beowulf was going to fight Grendel. He also knew that the Danish Kingdom was some what hard to find, so Higlac loaned Beowulf his GPS so he could have the exact path he needed.

The Battle with Grendel
King Hrothgar wanted Grendel dead so badly that he gave Beowulf a super high powered LS laser to kill him with. As the night grew older, Grendel soon continued his nightly ritual, and noticed that he would be fiesting on soldiers. He snatched one up, tore him apart, drank his blood then moved on to the next soldier, which happened to be Beowulf. Beowulf wanted the fight with Grendel to be fair, so he did not use his sword nor the laser that was given to him to defeat Grendel. He fought with Grendel with this bare hands and riped his arm right off, leaving Grendel to bleed to death and die in his cave.

The Monster's Lair
After Beowulf had killed Grendel, one of the Danish watchguards realized that the horrible Grendel had a mother who would be very angry once she found out about her dead son. So he used his mac book to make a podcast for Beowulf to watch. In this podcast, he told Beowulf about Grendels mother, and how she and her son have been seen by villagers in the forests and how he knew where she lived. The white beard then asked him to fight off Grendels mother, for she would be coming for revenge soon.

The Battle With Grendel's Mother
Beowulf, his men, and the white beards all gathered by the lake to wait for Beowulf to defeat Grendels Mother. The white beards wanted to keep track of where Beowulf was going, so they used a fish finder to keep up with his journy. Once Beowulf was to the bottom, he met with Grendel's Mother and fought a long hard battle. He used a huge sword that he found in the lair and used it to pierce the monster's side, which resulted in killing her.

The Last Battle
When Beowulf and his men returned home after finishing off Grendel and his Mother, he soon realized that he was to fight again. A dragon had come to his home town and was menacing his people. He agreed to fight the dragon and soon went into battle. He soon realized that the absence of his youth was working against him, and cried out for help. All of his men saw that the great Beowulf could not defeat the dragon, and ran for their lives, except for one, Wiglaf. So Wiglaf jumped in his Hybrid car and drove as fast as he could to help his king. Unfortunatly, Beowulf was wounded morbidly, and was to die from his wounds.

The Spoils
Beowulf's last request was for Wiglaf to bring back the treasures that the dragon was guarding. So one of the soldiers that ran away from the dragon, felt bad and used his gold detector to help find the treasures. Once he found it, Wiglaf returned with the treasures and placed them in the tower that Beowulf had built in his honor.

The Farwell
At Beowulf's funeral, many morned as they said their last good buys. But Beowulf would never be forgotten, for he had asked that soldiers circle his tower and tell stories of his life and many battles. So one of Beowulf's soldiers did so on his Swayged (an electronic scooter) from sun up to sun down, telling of his imfamous glory, so Beowulf would forever live on.

Future

Its hard for me to think about what my future will be when I'm around 30. I still have no idea what I want to major in and do with my life. I see a career as something you have to do for the rest of your life, so I'd better make it something I really really love or want to do. I still have yet to find that something.
I do know however that when I start my family, I want to have money, and be able to have fun with my money, like a nice house and a nice car. I'm not saying I want to be a millionaire (even though it would be nice) I'm just saying I don't want not having enough money to be an issue. I will eventually have kids so I will need a big house, I love wood floors, so I would have those, and fancy kitchens like on t.v. are awesome, so my kitchen will look like those too! :) I grew up in a 2 story house and had so much fun in it, so I want a 2 story house, and I would also love for it to be right outside of town, almost in the country.
My family and I will also be going to church, since it's a big part of my life right now. Hopefully my future will end up looking something like this.

Pack my parachute

I am fortunate enough to have had many people impact my life. So choosing just 6 is hard enough as it is. So I just decided to go with the first people who popped into my mind when I thought of people influencing me.
I would have to start with my Mom. Of course she's been there for me since birth and has given me everything I have ever wanted. She has taught me so many things I need to know, and has given advice in all the right places.
My Dad also has been a big influence. He's the one who keeps me going, any time I ever felt like I couldn't accomplish something, he's been there to cheer me on. Especially in sports. Hes also made me realize that I don't have to take crap from guys, and to only be treated the way I deserve to be treated.
Colton, my little brother, has in some way influenced me I guess I could say. We have been together since birth. I was only 11 months old when he was born, so to us, we're basically twins. There isn't really a memory I have that he isn't in. We have so much fun together and hang out all the time. He has shown me and everyone how strong sibling relationships can be. People always tell me how cool they think it is that my brother can be my best friend, and I'm proud to be able to say that we are.
Jaci is one of my best friends and she has been there for me threw a lot. We already have so many memories, and we've only known each other for going on 4 years now. She moved here as a freshman and ever since we've been close. She's so much fun to be around and I know that she'll always be there for me. She's shown me that you can trust and depend on people, and you can talk to someone and not just hold all your feelings in. Thanks jaci!! :)
Jodi is also one of my best friends and she has been there for me threw thick and thin.
Last but defiantly not least is my sister Emily. This is the person I dedicate my blog to. She seriously knows EVERYTHING about me. She probably knows me better than anyone. I love her so much and our relationship is better than any other sister's!!

My Expectations of Being a Senior

My expectations of being a Senior vary greatly. I have been told by so many people to "enjoy your senior year" or, "it'll go by so fast". So I expect it to be fun for sure, and apparently go by fast. I also am learning pretty quickly that your senior year gets you ready for college. I am taking a college class, and it turns out that I actually know nothing about college classes. Good thing I am taking one now. I also before I know it will be filling out college applications and buffing up my resume. It's crazy to think that I really only have one more year left of my high school career. One more year left of being with my family all the time and one more year left of being with all of my friends.
All in all though, I expect it to be one of the best times of my life and can't wait to get started!
